Interrelation is a mutual or reciprocal relation or relatedness [www.thefreedictionary.com]. All persons are (more or less) interrelated, these relations are more apparent in small groups, especially families. Scientifically, they can be represented by a chart called Sociogram. In practice, when informal groups are under consideration, this chart could be augmented with other arrows representing love, friendship, attractiveness etc. But still, the whole situation could never be completely described, especially in families.
This mirror was designed and constructed for a young family. The core of the mosaic is represented by the three letters: P, G, and K, which represent the initial letters of the family members’ names. P (dad) and G (mom) connect together in a letter K (daughter). The two lines, made of local stone Flysch, converge toward a family zone, where each individuum has his own space plus space for love, abundance, and happiness.
In spring 2012 I went to School Mosaicisti del Friuli in Spilimbergo, Italy for a course to improve my technique. One side of the mirror was made before the course, another after it. Guess, which?
